Dr. Rajvir Singh
New Delhi. On the occasion of Doctors’ Day, senior medical expert and public health specialist Dr. Jugal Kishore shared an important message for society about health awareness, preventive care and the responsibilities of doctors. The day became even more special because Doctors’ Day also coincides with Dr. Jugal Kishore’s birthday, making it a meaningful occasion of service, respect and social responsibility.
He emphasized that in today’s fast-changing world, wrong eating habits, stress, lack of physical activity, addiction, irregular sleep and excessive dependence on the internet are seriously affecting people’s health. According to him, many people start thinking about treatment only after falling sick, while the real focus should be on prevention.
Dr. Jugal Kishore advised people to follow simple but important habits such as regular health check-ups, balanced diet, daily exercise, proper sleep and stress management. He said that even small health problems should not be ignored, because negligence can sometimes lead to serious complications.
On Doctors’ Day and his birthday, Dr. Jugal Kishore appealed to the public not to take medicines based on internet searches or hearsay. He said that self-medication can be harmful and people should always consult a qualified doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
He also highlighted the importance of trust between doctors and patients. He said that doctors serve society with dedication, but successful treatment also depends on mutual understanding, patience and confidence between the patient, family and doctor.
Dr. Jugal Kishore gave a special message to the youth as well. He said that addiction, late-night routines, fast food, stress and lack of exercise are becoming serious threats to young people’s health. If the younger generation does not become health-conscious today, problems like heart disease, diabetes, blood pressure and mental stress may increase in the future.
He further said that a healthy society is the foundation of a strong nation. Doctors, media, families and social organizations must work together to take health awareness to every section of society, especially to the poor, weaker sections and rural areas.
On this special occasion, people extended birthday wishes to Dr. Jugal Kishore and appreciated his contribution to public health and society. Doctors’ Day is not only a day to honor doctors, but also a day to remember the values of service, humanity, awareness and responsibility towards society.
