A disturbing incident from Delhi’s Keshav Puram area has created fear among local residents after an unidentified man allegedly entered a woman’s house and threatened her. The matter came to light after a video related to the incident went viral on social media, following which police registered a case and began an investigation.
According to the complaint filed by Neelam Jain at Keshav Puram Police Station, the incident took place on May 9, 2026. She alleged that an unknown man entered her house carrying some kind of tool or equipment and issued criminal threats. Based on her complaint, police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to trespass and criminal intimidation.
The incident has sparked concern in the locality, with residents asking who this “mystery man” is and why he was moving around homes in the area. The accused was reportedly captured on CCTV, and police are now examining footage from nearby cameras to identify him and trace his movement before and after the incident.
Police have recorded the statements of complainant Neelam Jain and other related persons. Local residents are also being questioned to gather more clues about the suspect. Investigators are trying to determine whether the man came only to threaten the woman or whether there was a larger criminal motive behind his actions.
Police sources said special teams have been deployed to investigate the case. CCTV footage and viral social media videos are being examined carefully to identify the suspect as soon as possible. Officers are also checking the route used by the accused to enter and leave the area.
After the incident, residents of Keshav Puram and nearby areas have become more alert. Many people have started checking CCTV cameras installed outside their homes. Police have appealed to the public to immediately share any information or footage related to the suspect.
At present, the accused has not been arrested, but police say the investigation is moving quickly and efforts are being made to identify and arrest him soon. The incident has once again raised serious questions about neighbourhood safety, police patrolling, and CCTV surveillance in Delhi’s residential colonies.
